Men’s Development Series

MEN OF COURAGE offers a Men’s Development Series that develops adult men to become priests in their homes, leaders in the workplace and role models in their communities. “Mirror Man – Window Man” offers guidance and support in terms of life choices and the consequences of said choices and how the choices made by men, not only affect themselves and their families, but also their friends their co-workers and the communities in which they reside and society as a whole. The goal of our MDS is to not only assist with guidance but to develop men to become the men that God created us to be.

MIRROR MAN – WINDOW MAN

  1. Three phases / primary, intermediate and advanced (on a rotating basis).
  2. To develop a man’s character so as to maximize his manhood.
  3. To encourage a man to “look in the mirror” and to be honest with himself, to acknowledge his “challenges” and through scription, assist in how to overcome them.
  4. Once a man can internalize his shortcomings, we then stimulate discussion using a structured curriculum in a classroom atmosphere, using books, workbooks, handouts, videos as well as utilizing professional speakers.
  5. Community involvement. We venture into various neighborhoods to minister to men to raise awareness of what the group has to offer.
  6. We work with men at various men’s homeless shelters to mentor to said men, and assist them in re-establishing themselves in the community.
  7. Develop and encourage “Restored Citizens”.

WE JUSTIFY EVEN THE MOST BOLD EXPECTATIONS!

Mission

To develop men of all walks of life to become priests in our homes, leaders in the workplace and role models in the community by becoming the men that God created us to be.

Vision

To empower men to live the life of maximized manhood (Christlikeness). To share and exchange thoughts and ideas of men who have “challenges” that hinder us in today’s society and to offer constructive support to such individuals. Mankind has conquered the mountains, the oceans and even outer-space. But the greatest achievement of all is when a man conquers himself. “Better is he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.” Manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous. Be a man! Be Accountable!

GROUP COVENANT

I will be a person of integrity. (2 Timothy 2:15). My attitudes and actions reveal my commitment to live the life Christ modeled – to speak the truth in love, stand firm in my convictions, and be honest and trustworthy.

I will pursue consistent spiritual growth. (Colossians 2:6-7). The Christian life is a continuing journey, and I am committed to a consistent, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to faithfully study of His Word, and to spiritual growth through the ministry of a New Testament Church.

I will speak and live a relevant, authentic and consistent witness. (1 Peter 3:15). I will tell others how Jesus changed my life, and I will seek to live a radically changed life each day.

THE “FOUR FACES OF MAN”

The “Four Faces” of Man include:

1. The face of a lion – Courage (facing challenges with courage).

2. The face of a man – Compassion (care for the needy).

3. The face of an eagle – Vision (where there is no vision, the people perish).

4. The face of an ox – Servant (serves in the church and gives back to the community).

We believe that every Christian man should possess four distinct “faces” that work collaboratively to promote the kingdom of God in the areas of:

1. Self-development.

2. Protection of and providing for family.

3. Evangelism.

4. Community outreach (assisting the less fortunate).
